Festival des architectures vives, Montpellier 2021-2022

Every year in Montpellier, the Festival des Architectures Vives takes place. This festival consists of, through an architectural journey in the heart
from Montpellier, to present installations created by young architects. Thus, following a call for applications launched by one of my former Bachelor professors at the ESDAC of Montpellier, I was able to contribute to the creation of one of the architectures during of the 2021-2022 session. This experience made me
allowed to discover new techniques as well as developing a spirit of cohesion with the project team. In short, the project demonstrates the impact of
humans on his environment, the traces he wants leave there and those he leaves in spite of himself (expressed by the different strata).
Currently, the work is exhibited at the Museum
Latarra in Lattes (34070), following its purchase.

Thanks to the help of the Mobiterre company, we made this work in rammed earth. Rammed earth is the specialty of this company, so they kindly shared their knowledge and experience in this field with us.
We spent 2 days building volumes in earth that we will assemble on the exhibition site to facilitate transport.
These volumes are made of earth, straw, water and also dyes to have a visual effect of stratification. Among these volumes, one of the volumes is made of concrete and plastic chips, representing the period when humanity reigned over the world.
» Nature will survive us! » and will return to its initial form.
